Since coming back from my sabbatical I have been really encouraged by what God is doing. It is true to say that He will build His church.
Over the last 4 months I have seen new people join and welcomed into the family; had discussions about the Polish speaking ministry, which is led by Mariusz and Beata coming under the banner of New Life in June; plans moving forward to create a new 10 plus children’s group on Sundays; people enquiring about Baptism; individuals flourishing into what God has for them, seeing them grow in the practical and the spiritual. It’s great to see Rob and Sharon being released for a week’s mission in May; people knocking on doors and offering prayer and an Easter gift; then seeing some of these people attend our Fun day and Easter Sunday activates. God is on the move.
But when you look at what God is doing it’s all about people, you see ‘we’ (that’s you and me) are the church. I love the way the message bible puts it
“And now I’m going to tell you who you are, really are. You are Peter, a rock. This is the rock on which I will put together my church, a church so expansive with energy that not even the gates of hell will be able to keep it out.” Matthew 16:18
Remove the name Peter and replace it with yours. This is who you are a rock on which God will build His church. He is constantly at work in each of us changing us, growing us, sanding the rough bits of us, shaping us to become like Him. So today spend some time with Him allowing Him to minister into you His church. As God is not finished moving yet!
